"Bible-Based Prayer Power" features a new technique for talking
to God that's as old as the Bible. Ken Anderson teaches readers the
unique STEPS approach to prayer and gives them a topically arranged
resource for incorporating the approach into their prayer lives.
STEPS is an acronym for "Scripture Teaches Effective Prayer
Strategy," a principle based on John 15:7 ("If you abide in Me, and
My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall
be done for you.") "Bible-Based Prayer Power" moves readers into a
more vibrant prayer life by making Bible promises practical and
personal.
You cannot understand China without meeting heroes like Samuel
Lamb! In an age when secularism and materialism numb the human
spirit, China's amazing Christians demonstrate the power of living
faith. In 1950 China's Christians numbered about a million. Today,
estimates range between 30 and 70 million! How did this body of
believers grow so rapidly under atheism and materialism? Bold as a
Lamb is the true story of Pastor Samuel Lamb. Imprisoned for more
than twenty years for preaching the Gospel, he became the beloved
secret pastor to hundreds of fellow inmates. After his release in
1978, he built a phenomenal "house church" congregation of more
than a thousand. Soon, however, he became the special target of
those determined to destroy the mushrooming house church movement
in China. His church was closed and his ministry tools were
confiscated. Yet this man remains undaunted, standing boldly -- and
with spiritual grace, against fierce opposition. This is the
fascinating, eye-opening account of one of China's best-known
pastors, his dauntless congregation, and how they found joy and
optimism in the face of relentless persecution.

Whether you're a brand-new Christian or a decades-long believer,
today's issues can seem far removed from what the Bible addresses.
Yet for all its differences in culture and vocabulary, the Bible
couldn't be more relevant to contemporary life. The Little Book of
Where to Find It in the Bible organizes Scripture references by
current topic, directly connecting contemporary issues to Bible
passages. Its common-sense organization, travel-sized format, and
lighthearted illustrations deliver an unintimidating Bible
reference tool for any level of Bible reader. Where does the Bible
have a word to speak regarding animal rights? Communication?
Influence? Xenophobia? These contemporary words don't occur in the
Bible, and yet the Bible certainly addresses them. This compact
Scripture reference makes it possible to quickly find out where.
This topical concordance is an A to Z Bible reference bursting with
information yet compact enough for a pocket. Succinctly annotated
references correspond to most Bible translations including the
NKJV, KJV, and NIV.
